Mulberry Silk fabric is one of the finest natural silks available. It is produced from the cocoons of the Bombyx mori moth, which feeds exclusively on the nutrient-rich mulberry leaf. The resulting cocoons are spun into long, strong, pure white strands that can be woven together to create the gorgeous silk fabrics we know and love.
The silk that is used for our bedding and pillowcases is Grade 6A. This is the highest grade of mulberry silk. It is made by spinning the long, pure strands of fiber collected from the cocoon of the Bombyx mori moth.
It is a beautiful, soft, luxurious fabric that feels incredibly smooth and supple against your skin. It is also hypoallergenic, and contains a natural protein called Sericin that decreases the possibility of an allergic reaction.
In addition to being naturally odorless and hypoallergenic, the silk fibers in our mulberry silk sheets, pillowcases and sleep masks are resistant to moisture and heat, and are highly breathable. This helps your body to maintain a healthy balance of moisture, allowing you to stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
